Belo-owned WFAA-TV Dallas teamed up with the Communities Foundation of Texas to generate awareness for the 4th Annual "North Texas Giving Day." Through a new public service announcement campaign and news coverage, WFAA-TV helped increase the number of people who donated on "North Texas Giving Day," (September 13) by 35%. Over 37,500 people opened their wallets to benefit more than 900 local charities. The total amount raised was more than $14.4 million.
