They develop a plan that includes strategies for hurricane watches, warnings, evacuations and recovery. “We also have a plan on each Tower if damage is done for us to keep it on the air and remain live and local for the Charleston Community,” said Cumulus Charleston Market Manager Sherry Dollar. Communication during any emergency situation can be difficult, which is why Cumulus Charleston developed an opt-in text messaging alert system. The group also operates with an internal communication system to ensure all employees are kept up to date on the latest developments and are staying safe themselves.
